I decided a couple says into the trip to just enjoy the time with my family, and did not make blogging a priority. So…. Here are some pictures of the trip!
Our first day at Disney World has come to an end. We spent the majority of the day at Magic Kingdom!
A Dole Whip Swirl! This is a very popular treat in Disney World that I was really excited to try! This may or may not have been my breakfast…..
We continued to ride more rides. We were able to fit a lot in today, and the lines were not as bad as I had expected!
When afternoon rolled around, everyone was ready for lunch. We headed over to Columbia Harbor House.
I had the grilled salmon with couscous and broccoli, and a strawberry yogurt for my dessert. The salmon was great! Especially for a very busy fast food place. The lunch was very filling, and gave me the energy I needed to enjoy more fun at the park. On a side note, going to Disney when they are offering the free dining plan is one of the best values you can get!
Anyway, we continued the day roaming around the park, and riding all the rides we had been looking forward to!
We went back to our hotel to freshen up before heading to Epcot for our late dinner reservation at Coral Reef.
I had the grilled mahi mahi with flying bird shrimp, jasmine rice, heart of palm, cilantro, and coconut-lime sauce. This was amazing! The fish and shrimp were so tender, and the sauce was delish!
But the best part of any Disney meal is dessert!
That puts an end to our first day if adventures in Disney World. Tomorrow we head to Hollywood Studios! See you tomorrow friends!
We were back on the road by 8:00 this morning. Before heading out, I got up and completed a Nike Training Club workout!
Afterward, I got ready for the day, and headed over to the continental breakfast provided by the hotel.
What seemed like several hours later, everyone was very ready for lunch! We found a Subway about 1/3 into the day’s drive.
The hours were just dragging on today! I felt as if we were never going to get here! After reading several chapters of Mockingjay and a few rounds of Taboo….I napped and ate a Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Bar.
I had some salad, pizza, and more pizza! Why does traveling make you soo hungry?
Anyway, after dinner we headed over to Downtown Disney and walked around.
Now it’s time for a good nights sleep before heading to the parks tomorrow!
Guess who finished her first semester of college?!? That’s right! This girl!! And today my family and I are on our way to Walt Disney World!
We got on the road at 6:00 this morning. We’ve got 8 hours in the car today. We turn this into a two day trip every time.
After a couple of hours of being on the road, I grabbed one of my Gnu Foods Oatmeal Raisin Fiber Bars….
We also made a side trip to stop by Duck Commander. Not gonna lie, I was really hoping we would run into one of the Robertsons!
A little while later, I broke into my lunch around noon.
We continued driving for a few more hours before reaching our destination for the night. We turned on ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas, and relaxed after a long day of traveling. I had an apple and some peanut butter.
We will head out early tomorrow morning to finish our drive to Orlando. Pray for safe travels! I’ll be back later with more updates of our trip!
